Kansas City, MO – Kansas City, Kan., police officials say they're asking the FBI for help as they investigate allegations of police misconduct.

Lawmakers return to the Statehouse next week, facing a big budget shortfall. Education is the single biggest item in the budget. Some legislators have been looking at the reserves Kansas school districts keep in the bank as a way to help reduce state education costs.
