KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Google isn't offering much hope to people wanting to work for the company's new ultra-fast Internet project in Kansas City, Kan.

A group of fiscally conservative Republicans in the Missouri Senate say they're willing to end their month-long filibuster of legislation to draw down 105 million in extended unemployment benefits.

The Missouri House has given first-round approval to a Republican-proposed map that would redraw the state's congressional districts, reducing them from nine to eight.

Missouri Gov. Jay Nixon wants to boost Missouri's oversight of dog breeders.

The Kansas City Royals went into extra innings for the third straight game yesterday but this time the result was a loss as they fell to the Chicago White Sox 10-7 in 12 innings at Kauffman Stadium.
