Health Officials Find Lead Contamination in Joplin Soil
Joplin officials have discovered high levels of lead in the soil that they believe are related to the tornado. Joplin was born as a lead mining town over 100 years ago, and city health officials believe that the tornado scattered leftover piles of lead-contaminated gravel when it hit last year. Brownback Signs Tax Cut Bill
