Missouri Senate More Open To Tax Credits

The Missouri Senate passed two sets of tax credit legislation.  It’s a change from years past when proposed incentives for such things as historic preservation or amateur sporting events would have faced a filibuster threat from a group of fiscally conservative Republicans in the Senate. 

Tiller’s Wichita Clinic Plans To Re-Open

A Wichita clinic formerly operated by slain abortion provider Dr. George Tiller is expected to reopen soon.  Tiller’s former building was recently purchased by an organization called the Trust Women Foundation.  It’s headed by Julie Burkhart, who used to run Tiller’s political action committee.

K-State Signs Snyder To Five-Year Deal

Bill Snyder is the oldest active coach in major college football and shows no signs of retiring. Snyder will be 78 if he fulfills the 5-year extension he signed to coach the Kansas State Wildcats.

Medicaid Advocates Deliver 1,500 Letters of Support

A group of advocates for Medicaid expansion delivered 1,500 letters to the head of one of the House subcommittees working on Missouri’s budget for next year.   Read more here.
