UMKC begins accepting applications for its Physician Assistants program following a change in Missouri law. UMKC Starts Physician Assistant Program
Under the law signed by Missouri Governor Jay Nixon last month, Physician Assistants in Missouri will only need to be supervised by a physician 4 hours for every 14 days on the job. Previously, they needed to be supervised two thirds of their time. UMKC’s new Physician Assistant program, which will begin classes in January of 2014, will be the 4th in the state.
Former Governor Holden Visits KC On ‘A Labor Of Love’
Former Missouri Governor Bob Holden as in town to greet the first group of Chinese students who will participate in Missouri Boys State and Girls State this year. In total, there'll be 37.The annual summer sessions give young people an opportunity to learn about American government and actually run a simulated state government.
Kansas Delegation Visits Paris Air Show
Gov. Sam Brownback is leading a trade delegation to the Paris Air Show this week. The trip to France is aimed at attracting aviation business to Kansas and drumming up sales for the aircraft industry in the state.
