Woods Death Mystery

Kansas City, MO – A grim and perplexing mystery is developing on Kansas City's near southeast side with today's discovery of human bones in a vacant lot.

The skeleton fragments may have lain there as long as a year according to what police say a medical examiner's investigator told them. And fifty yards away, to the East, a skull was found on Saturday. Officer Darin Snapp, who speaks for the department, says the work right now is learning gender, age and who the person was. And that, "the hardest thing will be for the medical examiner to determine cause of death because right now we don't know if this person died of natural causes or was killed."

The bones were discovered in the tall week-choked back yard of a house near 37th and Myrtle.
