Once again, the traditional art-opening weekend meets the traditional gift-giving season at the following shows and sales, which involve multiple Kansas City artists.

Belger Crane Yard Studios Open House & Holiday Sale

More than 30 artists sell handcrafted pottery, jewelry, sculpture and ornaments as part of the Kansas City Clay Guild’s Annual Pottery Tour. Friday, December 2, 10 a.m.-9 p.m. and Saturday, December 3, 10 a.m.-4 p.m.

Cerbera Gallery’s First Annual Contempo Winter Salon

Kansas City Art Institute End-of-the Semester Student Exhibition and Sale

People start to line up early, especially outside the ceramics building, at the end of each semester when Art Institute students display and sell their works across the campus. Bargains abound, as well as chances to meet up-and-comers who just might stay and make a living in Kansas City. Kansas City Clay Guild 34th Annual Holiday Pottery Sale & Studio Tour

Strawberry Swing Indie Craft Fair's 6th Annual Holiday Swing

This event was recently recognized by Buzzfeed as "one of the Top 35 Indie Craft Fairs in the World." Supporting small businesses and the handmade-craft movement, the event includes more than 75 vendors, as well as food, drinks, music, and a photo booth. A portion of the vendor fees will be donated to The Family Conservancy and Great Plains SPCA. Sunday, December 11, 10 a.m.-6 p.m.
