Food Critics: New Years Eve Dining

flickr/achernar

New Years Eve isn't just about the bubbly these days. This Friday morning, join co-host Charles Ferruzza, and the Food Critics for a conversation about great places to go out and celebrate the arrival of 2012 over a great meal.

Plus, we'll review some notable restaurant closings of 2011, and  pose the question to our critics and callers - what's the best thing you ate in 2011?

GUESTS:
Charles Ferruzza, co-host, The Pitch and Fat City Blog
Chris Becicka, Ingram's Magazine
Mary Bloch, Around the Block
Gloria Gale, 435 South Magazine

Some of the Critics Reviewed Restaurants:

Gram & Dun (600 Ward Parkway)
Chris thought the brussel sprout salad was extremely good. And Mary enjoyed the shrimp and girts with great jalapeno gravy, and liked the Steak and Chicken. The bar is a bit loud, so if you want to have a serious conversation, ask to go into the back room.

Extra Virgin (1900 Main Street)
Mary ate here on pizza night. Great wine list, and happy hour deals.

Esquina (801 Massachusetts St, Lawrence)

Cafe Trio
Gloria went with a 15 person party, and enjoyed their seafood lasagna. though they handled the large group nicely.

715 (715 Massachusetts St, Lawrence)
Gloria reports that they are expanding. She enjoyed a shredded chicken salad. Charles says this is a great place for brunch.
