Forbes has named Hallmark Cards Inc. one of the top places to work for women, the Kansas City Business Journal reports.
With help from market research company Statista, Forbes compiled its first list of "America's Best Employers for Women."
The rankings were determined by a survey of 40,000 Americans, including 25,000 women, who work for businesses with at least 1,000 employees.
The survey asked participants to evaluate their employers on aspects such as working conditions, diversity and how likely they would be to recommend their employer to others. Female employees also were asked about factors like parental leave, pay equity and discrimination. The magazine said the survey also took into account potential gender gaps when reviewing responses that showed differences between the sexes.
Out of the 300 companies included in the ranking, Hallmark Cards Inc., where 83 percent of its 25,000 U.S. employeesare women, came in at No. 3 with a score of 89 out of 100.
