It’s official. Winter is over.
After months of snow storms in Kansas City, Thursday marked the first day of spring.
Calendar or not — we wanted to know when you really know spring is here.
This week, we asked listeners: For you, what’s the first sign of spring?
Many of your answers stemmed from nature, such as peeping frogs, chirping birds before sunrise and crocus flower sightings.
But for others, the first signs of spring meant certain food and drinks becoming available for sale, like Easter candy, asparagus and lighter specialty beer.
It’s not spring until there’s “Baseball at the K. I’ll be there opening day,” LaDonna Campbell tells us on Facebook.
And for Becky Cannady, “The first sign of spring is finding that first tick of the season on my Jack Russell Terrier, which I did last night.”
