Inside The Presidential Library System

When a President leaves office, the thousands of papers and other material relating to the events of his presidency are just ripe for the creation of a presidential library.

On Wednesday's Up to Date, we get the scoop on what you can find in a presidential library and how they work.

Guests:

  • Tim Rives, deputy director and supervisory archivist for the Eisenhower Library, Museum, and Boyhood Home
  • Amy Williams, acting director at The Harry S. Truman Library and Museum
When I host Up To Date each morning at 9, my aim is to engage the community in conversations about the Kansas City area’s challenges, hopes and opportunities. I try to ask the questions that listeners want answered about the day’s most pressing issues and provide a place for residents to engage directly with newsmakers.
