Kansas City, MO – Though Americans were being told to get back to normal after 9-11, there weren't many clues how to do that. The tide seemed to change with the return of comedy shows like Late Night with David Letterman and Saturday Night Live, which read the pulse of the nation and found it, eventually, near its funny bone.
