Luke X. Martin

KCUR 89.3

KCUR is hiring journalists this spring. These opportunities don’t come around very often, so we want to call your attention to our plans.

  • We’re hiring a full-time assistant producer for Up To Date, our daily talk show hosted by Steve Kraske. It’s a great position for a team-oriented individual who wants to have an immediate impact on the discourse in our community. As an assistant producer, you would get to research, plan and facilitate some of the most meaningful and impactful conversations in the region. You also would work on live productions and events that help connect KCUR to the people and places in the news. We’re looking for a strong communicator with a wide range of interests to go along with their natural curiosity about all things Kansas City. Click here for the complete job listing.
  • KCUR also is seeking a full-time reporter for our burgeoning Kansas News Service, based in Topeka. This is an exciting opportunity to join a stellar team covering health, education and politics in the state of Kansas for a local, regional and national audience.  This is a true multimedia position with lots of room for innovation for an ambitious journalist. Radio experience is particularly important in this position, but we’re willing to train the right individual. Click here for the complete job listing.

We're also looking for summer internsfor a variety of roles.

If you know someone who is qualified for either of these positions, please share the listing with them. We’re eager to welcome new perspectives into our work here at KCUR.
