KCUR Studios' Hit Podcast 'Statehouse Blend' Is Splitting Up

KCUR's Statehouse Blend podcast is dividing into two separate podcasts — Statehouse Blend Kansasand Statehouse Blend Missouri — in order to better serve our audiences on both sides of the state line.

You'll still get the same great content with the same engaging hosts — but to keep up to date with the Missouri General Assembly, you'll need to search and subscribe on iTunes, Google Play, or wherever you get your podcasts. Kansas will continue to be covered on the existing feed.

"Statehouse Blend will continue to provide the in-depth coverage of the Kansas and Missouri statehouses that our listeners expect, but now anyone who wants to follow only one legislature will have that option," said Briana O'Higgins, KCUR's digital director.

Statehouse Blend launched in January 2015 to cover the Kansas Statehouse, and expanded in August 2015 to include Missouri. Guests have included Kris Kobach, Kansas Secretary of State; Jason Kander, Missouri Secretary of State; Shawn Sullivan, Kansas budget director; and various elected officials from both states.

Statehouse Blend is a weekly political podcast that's one-part profile and one-part insider look into the Missouri and Kansas statehouses. Each week, hosts Sam Zeff (Kansas) and Brian Ellison (Missouri) welcome a state representative, senator or government official to talk policy, politics and their personal lives.
