Jul 30, 2018

Segment 1: Kansas GOP candidates faces tough Democratic — and Republican — challengers.

The Kansas Republican Party this year is seeking to continue its overwhelming power in Topeka, but in order to do so it’ll have to win what’s turning out to be a highly competitive election for governor. Also on the ballot this fall are races for the state House and two intense races for Congress in the state’s 2nd and 3rd congressional districts. Both could swing to the Democrats in what would be a huge blow to the GOP. Today, we heard from the man overseeing the election for Kansas Republicans.

Segment 2, beginning at 23:20: How international tariffs are effecting local economies.

In the early stages of what may be a long trade war, we explore that reasoning and look at the impact tariffs are having on workers and businesses in Kansas and Missouri.
