Suzan-Lori Parks
Suzan-Lori Parks

Only days after it became her first play to appear on Broadway, TOPDOG/UNDERDOG made Suzan-Lori Parks the first African-American woman to win the Pulitzer Prize for Drama.Kansas City, Missouri – TOPDOG/UNDERDOG is the story of two brothers named Lincoln and Booth who live in a rented rooming house. Booth wants to be a card hustler; his older brother Lincoln used to be a card hustler, but gave it up. Here, Parks reads an excerpt from the play (audio provided by New Letters on the Air).

TOPDOG/UNDERDOG runs through November 7, 2004 at the Unicorn Theatre.
