What's Showing In Independent, Foreign & Documentary Film

After a long list of box office flops, this summer's blockbusters aren't looking so hot. But don't trade your cinephilia for cynicism yet, because there are still plenty of lesser-known flicks worth watching. Today, Up To Date's film critics review the latest indie, foreign, and documentary movies now showing, including I Do Until I Don't, Menashe, Columbus, The Vault, Patti Cake$, The Trip to Spain, The Only Living Boy in New York, Brigsby Bear, Good Time, Harold and Lillian: A Hollywood Love Story, Ingrid Goes West and Wind River.

When I host Up To Date each morning at 9 a.m., my aim is to engage the community in conversations about the Kansas City area’s challenges, hopes and opportunities. I try to ask the questions that listeners want answered about the day’s most pressing issues and provide a place for residents to engage directly with newsmakers. My email is steve@kcur.org.
