Composer Narong Prangcharoen and Michael Stern take a bow in Helzberg Hall, June 2017.

This week Michael Stern and Dan Margolies share works that are meant to inspire young music fans and are somehow also tied to academe. Featured are Brahms' Academic Festival Overture and Second Symphony, Britten's Young Person's Guide to the Orchestra, Dukas' Sorcerer's Apprentice and Narong Prangcharoen's Phenomenon.

An agreement with the Kansas City Symphony allows us to share audio for this program up to four weeks after the program's original air date. You can listen to currently available episodes here.
