UMKC Conservatory of Music Celebrates 100 Years

This weekend, the UMKC Conservatory of Music concludes its yearlong 100th anniversary celebration. The institution is a training ground for the next generation of performers - in opera, dance, and orchestra - but growing enrollment has exceeded the capacity of the Conservatory's rehearsal, classroom, and performance space. Dean Randy Pembrook talked to KCUR's Laura Spencer earlier this week about the history and the future of the Conservatory. By Laura Spencer
