Kansas City, MO –
The Kansas Board of Education is kicking off its search for a new state education commissioner.

Missouri's Department of Elementary and Secondary Education says it is dropping plans to create statewide math exams using an "integrated math" curriculum.

Missouri says a contested contract to improve the radio system used by the State Highway Patrol and other emergency responders will move ahead.

Congress just eliminated federal funding for KCUR, but public radio is for the people.
