Kansas City, MO – Missouri's race for governor pits the first Democrat to defeat a sitting governor of her own party in a primary in more than 80 years against the second-youngest candidate ever to run for the office. The opponents share a legacy of criticizing current governor Bob Holden, particularly for withholding school funding during the budget crunch.
