Kansas City – Students at Kansas City's Northeast High School speak a total of more than 47 different languages. Still the school is able to forge a functional student community and several of the groups are achieving above school norms. Teacher Jan Stapinski and her students speak of the challenges, how it is working and why Stapinski is unusually suited to the multilingual challenge.

Congress just eliminated federal funding for KCUR, but public radio is for the people.
