Kansas City, Missouri – President George Bush recently appointed Kansas City Attorney Gerald Reynolds to head the U.S. Civil Rights Commission. The advisory panel has been led for just over half its 47-year existence by the combative Mary Frances Berry. With Reynolds, the Commission's leadership takes a hard turn to the right, but his supporters contend, toward more open discourse. Meanwhile, local civil rights advocates are still waiting to meet the new Chairman. KCUR's Frank Morris reports.
