Kansas City, Missouri – The Kansas Senate is poised to vote on an $11.3 billion compromise state budget. Missouri Repulicans are fast-tracking legislation to authorize many of Governor Matt Blunt's proposed cuts to Medicaid. Missouri's unemployment jumped a half of a percent in February, while Kansas saw a slight decrease compared with last year.
