Kansas City, MO – The Missouri Senate is set to debate its plan for overhauling the state's formula for funding public schools. A Kansas state attorney asks the state Supreme Court to ignore a filing by school districts to reject the legislature's school finance plan and force legislators to approve more than $800 million a year in additional funding. Records show the 2004 property taxes on a car wash owned by Rep. Emanuel Cleaver have not been paid.
