KC CURRENTS 6-11-06

By Delores Jones, Sylvia Maria Gross, Laura Ziegler

Kansas City, MO – Raymore resident Myrna Dick's deportation to Mexico--her case has inspired sympathy from both sides of the immigration debate (at left, the Dick's house). Plus, visit a huge underground storage facility in Lenexa that might hold documents that solve a dispute between Native Americans and the US government. Missouri's new law on sexual predators may clear the way for gay foster parents. Plus, Uruguayan author Eduardo Galeano, and Kansas City gets ready for bluesman Keb Mo and the Reverend Al Green.

Congress just eliminated federal funding for KCUR, but public radio is for the people.
