Interview with Miguel Mambo DeLeon

He sometimes goes by Michael DeLeon - but he likes to be called Miguel Mambo. Either way, he leads his own mambo orchestra and is a big promoter of Kansas City's Latin music scene with his website elmamboworld.com. By Sylvia Maria Gross

Kansas City, MO – Miguel de Leon grew up in a Puerto Rican community outside of Cleveland, Ohio. His brother Sammy DeLeon still lives there and has his own salsa orchestra. Miguel Mambo stopped by our studios recently to speak with KCUR's Sylvia Maria Gross about growing up with Latin music in Ohio.

Miguel "Mambo" de Leon and El Mambo Orquestra perform regularly at the Blue Room and the Emerald House. For more information, check the website elmamboworld.com.
