In its more than 40 year history, the Kansas City Repertory Theatre has only had three artistic leaders: founder Dr. Patricia McIlrath, George Keathley, and Peter Altman. At the end of this month, after seven seasons as producing artistic director, Altman will retire. In a recent conversation with KCUR's Laura Spencer, Altman takes a look back at some of the highlights and reflects on the joy of presenting a new play. By Laura Spencer
