Ft. Lauderdale, FL – Since the bowl game selections were announced early last month, KU's football team endured questions on whether the Jayhawks deserved to be in the a BCS (that is, Bowl Championship Series) game. They answered Thursday night with a 24-21 victory over Virginia Tech in the Orange Bowl. KCUR's Greg Echlin was there.

Defunded, but not defeated.

Congress just eliminated federal funding for KCUR, but public radio is for the people.
