IRS Scrutinizes Tax Refund Loans

KANSAS CITY, MO – Millions of Americans use refund anticipation loans to get their tax refund money a couple weeks faster than the government can provide it. These are high interest loans and consumer advocates and state attorneys general have long complained about them. Now they may have a new ally - the IRS.
