Kansas City, MO – A controversial member of the Kansas City parks board stepped down this week, ending a months-long showdown between the mayor and several national civil rights organizations. The stand-off threw Kansas City into a national debate about illegal immigration. KCUR's Elana Gordon talks to Frances Semler, the parks board member who resigned, Rita Valenciano of the Latino Civil Rights Task Force and Chris Medina of the Guadalupe Center.
