Looking at art in flatfiles has been described as a unique and intimate experience. It allows viewers to choose the work they want to see and spend time with it. The H&R Block Artspace recently opened its biennial Kansas City Flatfile exhibition with the work of more than 150 artists. By Laura Spencer

Kansas City, MO – An opening reception for the "2008 Kansas City Flatfile" exhibition will be held 6-8 p.m. Feb. 22. It is free and open to the public.
The exhibition will remain on view through April 5. (The Artspace will be open by appointment only March 18-21).
