By Steve Bell

KANSAS CITY, MO –
KCUR Evening Headlines (1 min 47 sec)

  • The Kansas Senate passed the bill allowing construction of two coal-fired power plants in the southwestern part of the state today.
  • The Missouri House on Thursday in a very close vote passed a bill that would mandate tracking the sales of pseudo-ephedrine and similar drugs.
  • The House also passed a bill under which phone companies would face less state regulation - despite objections by many Democrats that it is likely to raise phone bills.
