Kansas City, MO – Edward P. Jones won the Pulitzer Prize for his novel The Known World, and that same year he was awarded the Macarthur "Genius Fellowship." He spoke with New Letters on the Air host Angela Elam about that book.
Edward P. Jones' newest book is called All Aunt Hagar's Children. He'll read from his work at Pierson Auditorium, on the UMKC campus, at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 19th (book signing and reception to follow; free, but rsvp 235.6222), and as part of a symposium at Kansas City Public Library at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 20th (pre-reception at 6:30).
