<I>Primera P?gina: Poetry from the Latino Heartland</I>

Primera P?gina: Poetry from the Latino Heartland is the new anthology by the Latino Writers Collective, a group of Latino writers who meet to critique and hone their poetry for readings and publication. The collection includes more than a dozen voices, and in honor of National Poetry Month, we'll hear two of the poets read their work. By Laura Spencer


Kansas City, MO – Artist and poet Jose Faus moved to Kansas City from Columbia and he's collaborated on a number of mural projects in the Kansas City area and in Mexico. Publisher, editor and poet Gloria Vando is a Puerto Rican born in New York City. Vando and her husband, Bill Hickok, founded the Writers Place in Kansas City. First, we'll hear from Jose Faus.
