General Motors has been banking on its' popular Chevy Malibu to help lift it from a $3.3 Billion loss in the first quarter. But union assembly workers at its Kansas City Kansas plant, which makes the Malibu, have gone on strike.Sprint Nextel stock closed up more than 10 percent today on news that Deutsche Telekom is considering buying the Overland Park company.Two Republican candidates for Governor of Missouri campaigned in St. Louis today. Both both would repeal earnings taxes in St. Louis and Kansas City.
