  • General Motors has been banking on its' popular Chevy Malibu to help lift it from a $3.3 Billion loss in the first quarter. But union assembly workers at its Kansas City Kansas plant, which makes the Malibu, have gone on strike.
  • Sprint Nextel stock closed up more than 10 percent today on news that Deutsche Telekom is considering buying the Overland Park company.
  • Two Republican candidates for Governor of Missouri campaigned in St. Louis today. Both both would repeal earnings taxes in St. Louis and Kansas City.
