Kansas City, MO –
Kansas Governor Kathleen Sebelius signed a number of bills today, but took no action yet on an economic development bill with two coal-fired power plants tagged onto it.Earlier in the day, Sebelius, a Roman Catholic, was scolded publicly by her archbishop, who said the gopvernor should refrain from taking Communion until she publicly repudiates her support for abortion rights. An effort by Planned Parenthood to overturn a new Missouri law toughening oversight of abortion clinics was rejected by a Jackson County judge today. A Kansas City man notorious for burglarizing homes while owners were at funerals was found guilty today in connection with five Platte County burglaries.
