Kansas City, MO – David Cook is the latest winner of "American Idol." The 25-year-old rocker beat his competition crooner David Archuleta by a landslide, garnering 56 percent of the vote. For their final performances, judges praised Archuleta's performance and gave Cook a lukewarm response. More than 97 million votes were cast by phone and text message.
