Storms headed for Kansas City have already spawned tornados. Several tornados have touched down in western Kansas. Thunderstorms packing 100 mile an hour winds are marching across the state. Johnson County Commissioners today approved the plan a Research and Education Triangle. Voters must still approve an 1/8-cent sales tax to give the project a "go."Johnson County Commissioners did not approve Stilwell's bid to become recognized as a city all its own. A majority voted for the measure, but passage required a unanimous vote.The Kansas City council debated transit again today, with transit chair Russ Johnson presenting still another proposal.
