Kansas City, MO – Edwin Hall of Olathe will spend his life in prison for the 2007 kidnapping, rape and murder of 18-year-old Kelsey Smith.

Supporters of light rail and the three-eighths cent sales tax to make it happen in Kansas City have begun their formal push toward November election.

Giving cities more power in a largely rural state was the subject of discussion among the mayors of Missouri's seven largest cities yesterday.

A Kansas Board will pick one plan for a proposed casino in Wyandotte county later this week, but the competition just got a little easier. Pinnacle Entertainment has dropped its bid to manage a casino.

Kansas City is home to a championship baseball team the T-Bones. The minor league team beat out the Geary Railcats last night 6-1, securing the T-bones their first Northern League title.
