Kansas City, MO –

  • The light rail plan on Kansas City's November ballot got a boost by default on Thursday when the Heavy Constructors Union decided not to take sides on the issue. The union has opposed previous light rail efforts.
  • The Kansas City council brought the city's child-restraint ordinance into line with state law, further defining what kind of in-car protection is required for kids of various ages, weights and height.
