Kansas City, MO – The Kansas City light rail plan on next month's ballot got a boost by default yesterday from a group that opposed previous efforts.

With perhaps a record voter turnout possible in November, the Kansas City council took time to make sure the city is in compliance with the Voter Assistance Act.

Kansas Governor Kathleen Sebelius says Kansas is the "Saudi Arabia of wind."

Congress just eliminated federal funding for KCUR, but public radio is for the people.
