On their second debate, Missouri candidates for governor Jay Nixon and Kenny Hulshof sparred vigorously over health care policy, school vouchers and who is least likely to raise taxes.

Democratic vice presidential candidate Joe Biden addressed a crowd of 1400 at William Jewell College this afternoon. Biden blasted Republican John McCain's second bailout plan as one that primarily helps banks.
