Kansas City, MO – Missouri is tossup in the presidential polls with Democrat Barack Obama and Republican John McCain frequently exchanging leads in the polls. Obama made a stop in Columbia last night and Republican VP candidate Sara Palin was in Cape Girardeau.

Kansas voters have a resource they can use to help them make Election-Day decisions whether to retain judges and justices up for retention. The web site www.kansasjudicialperformance.org displays evaluations of judges based on opinions from those appearing in court about their overall legal ability, impartiality, temperament and communication skills.

A bipartisan Legislative agency will soon begin looking into whether social workers are being unduly influenced by prosecutors in child removal cases across Kansas.

No matter what happens in Washington D.C., Kansas City needs KCUR. And KCUR needs you.
