Kansas City, MO –

  • Voter turnouts across Kansas and Missouri appear to be as high as predicted, but at most polling locations all is going smoothly as of 4PM,
  • Some voters have received phone text messages advising (fraudulently)that because of crowding, Obama voters are asked to vote tomorrow. The Secretary of State says such misleading messages are a felony, and her office is investigating.
  • Voters at some mid-town Kansas City polls had one and two hour waits during the morning voting rush after voter registration lists were delivered to the wrong polling places.
  • As of mid-afternoon, election officials in Platte County and around the area say the supply of ballots is so far equal to the turnout.

  • No matter what happens in Washington D.C., Kansas City needs KCUR. And KCUR needs you.
