Kansas City, MO – A program for Missouri women and children is seeing an uptick in response due to the economic downturn.

The Kansas House today debates a proposed budget for that trims aid to public schools by nearly $26 million.

Missouri health officials report the number of tuberculosis cases decreased across the state and in Kansas City last year.

For the first time since 2002, both Missouri and Kansas are in the Sweet 16 of the NCAA men's basketball tournament.
