Kansas City, MO – Two finalists for the job of Kansas City Missouri schools superintendent have been named.

The Kansas City Missouri Police department will freeze hiring as part of an effort to makeup for a $15 million budget shortfall.

Kansas Governor Mark Parkinson begins his first full day in office promising to take on the state's budget crisis.

A Republican lawmaker from St. Joseph who compared a proposed health care expansion to slavery during House debate will not be reprimanded.

The Royals lost 8-to-1 last night to the Toronto Blue Jays. The two teams will face off again this afternoon at Kaufmann stadium.
