Kansas City, MO –
The Kansas Legislature has sent Governor Mark Parkinson a bill that cuts state spending across the board to reduce a $328 million budget deficit.

The Missouri General Assembly has passed the state budget for Fiscal Year 2010.

The Missouri General Assembly approved a bill directing 380 million in federal stimulus dollars toward several projects thoughout the state.

The Kansas City council is calling foul on how stimulus money is being spent.

A 20 mile stretch of the Kansas Turnpike near Emporia was closed this morning after heavy rains sent water over the highway.

Congress just eliminated federal funding for KCUR, but public radio is for the people.
