  • Secretary of State Ron Thornburgh says he won't be running for Kansas governor. He says he doesn't think he'd be able to raise enough money to compete.

  • The petitioners pushing to recall Kansas City Mayor Mark Funkhouser have announced they're dropping their effort.

  • The Kansas City School Board is fielding questions from the public this evening about its budget and consolidation plans. The district's budget must be cut by more than 40 million dollars due to declining revenues and enrollment.

  • Congress just eliminated federal funding for KCUR, but public radio is for the people.
