Kansas City, MO – High winds and heavy rain caused extensive damage in the Cass County town of Drexel last night.

Dropping enrollment, falling tax revenues, and fewer state and federal dollars--those were just some of the bleak projections presented to the public during the Kansas City School District's budget meeting last night.

A national study says Missouri charter school students, on average, do better in reading and math than those attending public schools.
