Kansas City, MO – High winds and heavy rain caused extensive damage in the Cass County town of Drexel last night.

Dropping enrollment, falling tax revenues, and fewer state and federal dollars--those were just some of the bleak projections presented to the public during the Kansas City School District's budget meeting last night.

A national study says Missouri charter school students, on average, do better in reading and math than those attending public schools.

The petitioners pushing to recall Kansas City Mayor Mark Funkhouser have announced they're dropping their effort.

Allen Icet, Chair of the Missouri House Budget Committee, has announced his candidacy for State Auditor.
